FAQs

Q?

Do I have to run in the race to be part of the day?

A.

Not at all. There are volunteer opportunities as well as donation opportunities you can take advantage of. We always need people to help start and end the race supporting the runners and walkers in the race. We can also use volunteers for registration in the morning. If you are interested in being part of this special day, please get in touch!

Q?

I want to participate, but I’m not a runner – can I walk?

A.

Of course! The 5K route is runner and walker friendly. Nearly half of this flat, out-and-back route goes along the beach, so it’s a scenic place to catch up with friends or just take in the sights and sounds of one of Massachusetts’ most beautiful shorelines.

Q?

Is there somewhere for me to park?

A.

Yes, there is ample parking at the start/finish line, as well as the surrounding areas, that is free to the public.

Q?

What happens if I forget my water?

A.

We would never let you go thirsty! We have multiple water stations set up along the route, as well as water at the start/finish line. Hydration is key!

Q?

Where is the start and finish line?

A.

The race starts and finishes at the field that was named after Danielle in 2004 – the Danielle E. Struzziery Softball Field on ‘N’ Street in Hull, right off of Nantasket Ave.

Q?

How do I pick up my bib?

A.

We will be handing out bibs & t-shirts on race day, prior to the race. Registration opens at 8am, but we will have a separate line to provide quicker service to pre-registered runners so they can pick up their bibs and t-shirts.

Q?

Hull is beautiful – how do I spend the rest of the day there?

A.

Excellent question, and we tend to agree – Hull is beautiful! Our suggestion would be to start your day (after you finish the race, of course) by coming to the afterparty! We will be holding an afterparty at LOCAL02045 (about a half mile from the race, right on the water!) with food, a cash bar, and plenty of raffle prizes!

There are plenty of historic sights to see and local shops and restaurants to visit. Visit Hull Chamber of Commerce for some ideas!
